The latest episode of CarBot Animations' wonderful series, Wowcraft, is now available. In its fourth installment, we depart from our orc friend and his adventures in Durotar to focus on his purple, long-eared enemies up north. Yes, I'm talking about the night elves, and episode four is all about a struggling night elf hunter who is clearly attacking a training dummy that's a few levels (or fifty) above his own, to disastrous consequences. I'm really enjoying these little shorts from CarBot. They're a loving, light-hearted bit of fun at WoW's expense, and I particularly like the mount gag at the end. Where does my druid keep those 150 giant beasts (plus enormous kite--seriously, that thing is huge) that she can call on to cart her around the world? And, more importantly, why does she bother, when she can turn into a bird? The world may never know.

The WoW.com crew has been hard at work on full walkthroughs of the worgen and goblin starting experiences in the Cataclysm beta, and in the process we've built up a few videos that we simply don't want to sit on any longer. You'll see these videos in our guides as planned, so consider this a sneak preview. Obviously almost every single one of these videos is heavy with Cataclysm spoilers. Don't want to be spoiled? Don't watch. Embedded above is the quest The Great Bank Heist. You can head over to our YouTube channel (or click the links below) to see: Worgen Starting Zone Meet Lord Darius Crowley Sacrifices Fun With Placeholders You Can't Take 'Em Alone Tunnel Rats Transformation Animation Goblin Starting Zone Hot Roddin' The Great Bank Heist (embedded above) Monkey Business And more to come! We've already said it a few times since the beta started, but we do strongly recommend subscribing to our YouTube channel. While most of the videos that are uploaded there will find their way here eventually, subscribing is a good way to get a sneak peek at upcoming features ... and catch the few videos that don't make it to our front page.

Calling all Gnomes... Calling all Gnomes... Baron Soosdon, one of the best machinima creators out there, wants your Gnomes. In a post over on the EU forums he tells everyone "[I] need gnomes, gnome dying and flying into the air." The gnomes will be used for an upcoming machinima project of his. Some of his previous work is great, and I really suggest you check it out. The Device Has Been Modified is one of my favorite pieces of machinima, and Child Escapism also ranks quite high. If you want to get into this project you'll need to follow the instructions he outlines in his post. EU Community Team member Wryxian points out Soosdon is looking for gnomes and not crocolisks, so let's try to remember that (if there is any confusion, that is).And in case you're worried about gnome hate, a very serious problem in Azeroth, Soosdon lets us all know that he doesn't hate Gnomes, and that the video itself won't be about killing gnomes. Are you still there?

  • WoW Moviewatch: Mr. Lonely

Sometimes I forget that I'm a giant WoW nerd, and that I see things that maybe not all our readers have seen. I know this made the rounds a little while back, but I think it's an excellent example of a WoW Music Video. The song is by Akron Akon (EDIT: I swear, I'm addicted to the R key this week), originally, not the Chipmunks. After watching the video, I'm left with one nagging question, "Can gnomes and night elves even hook up, biologically speaking?" Honestly though, the skills that are out there when it comes to Machinima are impressive. I wish I could just fire up FRAPS, throw the video onto my iMac and create some magic with iMovie, but I think it's outside my skillset (which is mostly limited to playing WoW, writing about WoW, and watching WoW videos). If you have a great example of a WoW video, be it music or otherwise, send us a tip!
