  • Sony: 'Killzone won't be [at] GDC at all'

    And like a rifle butt to the ocular cavity, the spark of hope in our eyes was handily extinguished with SCEA Manager, Ryan Bowling telling IGN, "No, Killzone won't be [at] GDC at all." Really? The game was a no-show at both E3 and TGS last year; in fact, the only thing we've heard (besides rumors) following the title's infamous E3 2005 debut is that it's the "biggest multimedia project in Dutch history." So, if that rumored Killzone 2 demo won't be making an appearance at GDC after all, and E3 is gone, when will it crawl out of the foxhole it's been hiding in for the last two years? Says Bowling, "The time for that game is coming and we'll have new information about it in the future, but not at GDC."[Thanks, Nav]

    For many Americans, today feels a lot like Friday and, as far as our employers and government are concerned, it might as well be. With tomorrow being the day we celebrate Thanksgiving by stuffing our faces (more than usual) with turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and various delicious types of pie, we felt we'd ask what you're playing a little early. For all of our non-American readers whose country's past does not include Pilgrims and Native Americans coming together in peace, well ... be sure to rub your next exclusive holiday in our faces.So what will it be? A little multiplayer action with the family? Or will you be the loner in the corner, sweater stained in gravy and pie crust crumbs as you scream "Hold It!" into your DS, receiving nothing but puzzled looks from your grandparents?

  • Where was Too Human at X06? Dyack explains

    Eclipsed by a plethora of announcements at X06, Too Human's absence went without much of a fuss. In a recent post on developer Silicon Knights' blog, President Denis Dyack explained that the decision was "made immediately after E3. We made the decision to next show the game when we are ready and we knew that X06 would not be the right time." Leaving Too Human MIA from X06 was likely the best decision after their less-than-stellar slide show presentation at E3. Dyack asserts that the game is "shaping up to be our best game to date." and concludes that "there will be a preview of the game in the future ..." As we understand it, future tense spans a rather wide time period, giving Silicon Knights the right to show Too Human sometime in 2046 without breaking its promise.
