This week, after announcing the arrival of MLB Stickball, Microsoft surprised us with two additional titles, Beat'n Groovy and Shadow Assault / Tenchu. Of the three games, let us tell you that Beat'n Groovy is definitely the standout title this week. Let us tell you also that it's the standout title for all the wrong reasons. That should really be the takeaway from this week's XBLA In Brief, even if the other two are decent (particularly Shadow Assault) games. Hear our take on all three in the video above.[iTunes] Subscribe to X3F TV directly in iTunes.[Zune] Subscribe to the X3F TV directly (Zune Marketplace link coming soon).[RSS] Add the X3F TV feed to your RSS aggregator and have the show delivered automatically.[M4V] Download the M4V directly.

XBLA in Brief returns this week with a two-for-one look at both Bliss Island and Brain Challenge. Bliss Island is a strange collection of boring mini-games that clocks in at 400 MS points. Brain Challenge is a pretty good knockoff of Brain Age for the Nintendo DS. One of them is actually entertaining. That game is not Bliss Island. We'll give you one guess as to which game was halfway decent. Watch the video above and rejoice in the fact that you will never have to play Bliss Island.[iTunes] Subscribe to the Podcast directly in iTunes (MP3).[Zune] Subscribe to the Podcast directly in Zune Marketplace (MP3).[RSS] Add the Xbox 360 Fanboy Podcast feed to your RSS aggregator and have the show delivered automatically.[M4V] Download the M4V directly.

In the latest episode of X3F TV, we take a hands-on look at Dark Sector. In the video, we discuss the game's interesting mechanics, the single player campaign and also touch on Dark Sector's unique multiplayer mode. Overall, Dark Sector is shaping up to be a decent and, perhaps more importantly, different third person shooter. It's time for the second installment of X3F TV everyone. For this episode, we have hands-on impressions of Sacred 2 from GDC08. Longtime readers may remember that we saw the game at GDC07 last year. We can honestly say that the fantasy hack-and-slash has come a long way during the last year. But why waste words when a video can tell you so much more? Enjoy our video hands-on and tell us what you think. Subscribers to the Xbox 360 Fancast will also receive the video via their aggregator of choice and the M4V file can be downloaded directly as well, so feel free to watch it on your favorite personal media player (in a much higher resolution).[iTunes] Subscribe to the Podcast directly in iTunes.[Zune] Subscribe to the Podcast directly in Zune Marketplace.[RSS] Add the Xbox 360 Fanboy Podcast feed to your RSS aggregator and have the show delivered automatically.[M4V] Download the M4V directly.
