The Wii crossbow: for fanatics only

Do you ever feel like your Wii accessories aren't niche enough? Does it seem like fitting your Wiimote into a simple gun-shaped cradle to play Link's Crossbow Training doesn't completely capture the realism you're after? Well you're in luck, because the Wii Laser Sight Crossbow is here! That's right, it's a crossbow meant to lovingly hold your Wiimote, and turn any game into a trip to the Renaissance Fair. C'mon, you've got the Nerf Blaster, lightsaber, and teddy bear add-ons, isn't it time to complete the collection? Available now for the totally odd price of $27.54.

Gilded Zelda DS Lite on the horizon?

Apparently, the gold DS Lite you see tucked away in the lower-left hand corner of the picture above could soon be coming to retail stores, which to be honest, wouldn't shock us considering the smorgasbord of colors already out there. Reportedly, the photograph was snapped at the Nintendo World Store as Phantom Hourglass launched, and to make things even more interesting, a certain individual has also claimed that his company has received orders from the Big N to design graphics for a "BOX, SYST GOLD W/ZELDA: HOUR USG." Even if legitimate, it remains to be seen if the elusive new portable will simply be a limited run for contests or if it'll hit shelves en masse, but it's hard to argue how well a gilded Zelda DS Lite bundle would sell this holiday season.

King of Zelda mods returns for a DS edition

We can't say this new DS mod quite gets our hearts racing like the Zelda Wii mod did a couple of months ago, but perhaps that's just because the Phantom Hourglass hasn't hit the DS yet, while Twilight Princess has been epic-ing it up on the Wii since day one. All the same, this new one from Morpheon Mods features a fancy "Zelda gold" paint job, along with a metal sword and shield backlit by a white LED -- hardly pocketable, but sure is fun to look at. The mod is on sale on eBay now, and 15% of the proceeds go towards the Child's Play charity.

Link smiles upon knife, dagger, and shield Wiimote accessories

Pfft, and you thought your Sharp Shooter Wiimote accessory was hot stuff? Unfortunately, even remnants of Duck Hunt can't hold a candle to the trio of "full-size" Zelda props for your precious Wiimote, as the sword, dagger, and shield (shown after the jump) all do a fair job of mimicking the ones used in Twilight Princess. Of course, swapping them out in mid-game might not prove entirely efficient, but slicing and dicing your enemies could indeed become a whole lot more enjoyable when you're actually cutting through the air. Best of all, the entire set rings up at just $27.51, and while we're not in any position to judge the quality of construction, it's pretty safe to say that this is one instance where we'd certainly bring a knife (or two) to a gunfight.

Zelda Wii mod, champion of our hearts

Behold the magnificence, rejoice in the glorious Triforce-ocity -- the Wii mod of Wii mods has arrived. We're not really sure there are even any points of potential improvement in this Zelda shrine, unless of course it could magically turn into Link and wanted to be friends with us. The word from comments is that the fancy sword and shield are from the collector's edition of the Twilight Princess score, and it turns out you can remove the sword and flail it around like you don't even care. The best news is that you can make this Wii your own, since it's already up on eBay, waiting to dive into the arms of the highest bidder -- just look out for the mind-melting embedded Zelda theme music MIDI when you hit up that read link, death comes to all who hear it.

Update: Apparently eBay was giving our good-hearted seller a bit of a hassle, so he had to relist it with proper permissions for sale on behalf of a charity. Check out the new listing here.
