Did you go but want to relive the experience a little? Well look no further: we came, we saw, we conquered. As one of our friends acutely observed, you couldn't throw something this year without hitting a <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/3Dprinter/">3D printer</a>. Below you'll find pictures of said 3D printers, but also unicorns, Tesla coils and yes, even zombies (!) -- all lovingly curated from the hundreds of shots we took at the event this past weekend. Craving something with a bit more meat? We've made a convenient list of our Maker Faire posts. Once you're done digesting that, hit the break for our lovely video montage.</p><ul> <li> <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/05/21/hands-on-with-the-electric-imp-at-maker-faire-video/">Hands-on with the Electric Imp at Maker Faire (video)</a></li> <li> <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/05/21/raspberry-pi-hands-on-and-eben-upton-interview-at-maker-faire-v/">Raspberry Pi hands-on and Eben Upton interview at Maker Faire (video)</a></li> <li> <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/05/21/hands-on-with-the-makerbot-robot-petting-zoo-at-maker-faire-vid/">Hands-on with the MakerBot robot petting zoo at Maker Faire (video)</a></li> <li> <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/05/21/the-engadget-interview-ben-heck-talks-raspberry-pi-at-maker-fai/">The Engadget Interview: Ben Heck talks Raspberry Pi at Maker Faire (video)</a></li> <li> <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/05/22/electric-motor-werks-hands-on-at-maker-faire-video/">Electric Motor Werks hands-on at Maker Faire (video)</a></li></ul><p> <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/maker-faire-bay-area-2012/">Maker Faire Bay Area 2012</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/maker-faire-bay-area-2012/#5038113"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/05/makerfairebayarea201201_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/maker-faire-bay-area-2012/#5038114"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/05/makerfairebayarea201202_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/maker-faire-bay-area-2012/#5038115"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/05/makerfairebayarea201203_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/maker-faire-bay-area-2012/#5038116"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/05/makerfairebayarea201204_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.engadget.com/photos/maker-faire-bay-area-2012/#5038117"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/05/makerfairebayarea201205_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div></p><p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/05/22/maker-faire-bay-area-2012-in-pictures-3d-printers-unicorns-t/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Maker Faire Bay Area 2012, in pictures: 3D printers, unicorns, tesla coils and zombies (video)</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2012/05/22/maker-faire-bay-area-2012-in-pictures-3d-printers-unicorns-t/">Maker Faire Bay Area 2012, in pictures: 3D printers, unicorns, tesla coils and zombies (video)</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Tue, 22 May 2012 02:33:00 EST. You can never be too prepared. Whether you're being chased by <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2007/05/26/zombies-invade-apple-store/">brain sucking zombies</a>, hunted down by <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/RobotApocalypse/">ruthless killer robots</a>, or -- more likely -- the victim of an <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/08/23/east-coast-earthquake-brings-down-cell-phone-landline-service/">earthquake</a> or other natural disaster. There's only one phone you really need, and that's the MOTOFONE F3. Forget your smartphone and its fancy pants features, forget the internet -- when the apocalypse strikes your survival might depend on a durable handset with great battery life and just the basics, which is exactly what the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/08/14/engadget-mobile-podcast-050-08-14-2010/">MOTOFONE F3</a> delivers. Introduced in 2006 for developing markets, it makes and takes calls, sends and receives text messages, beeps and vibrates, stores and recalls your most important contacts, and includes an alarm clock -- that's it.<br />
<br />
Of course, these specs describe almost every simple phone launched since SMS was added to the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/07/01/gsm-turns-20-today-still-rocking-the-world/">GSM standard</a>. What makes the MOTOFONE F3 unique is that it uses a segmented <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/epaper/">e-paper</a> display which sips power and remains legible in both direct sunlight and dark back alleys, along with dual antennae for superior radio performance. Battery life is absolutely incredible, with over 2 weeks in standby and several months powered off. Motorola also designed the handset to be light (68g), thin (9mm) and strong -- it's resistant to shock, dust and moisture, with a sealed keypad and speaker (which is extremely loud). The best part? You can <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/08/14/engadget-mobile-podcast-050-08-14-2010/">pick one up </a>online, unlocked, for as little as $25.<br />
<br />
Check out our gallery below, and whatever you do, don't be like our protagonist in the zombie apocalypse video after the break -- don't leave your SIM at home.<br />
<br />
<em>Psst... yeah, we know this phone's ancient, but every now and then we like to reach back and <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2011/03/21/nintendo-virtual-boy-review/">have a little fun</a>. And, you know, escape a looming zombie horde. </em><br />

Miruko is the creepiest <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/gaming/">gaming</a> device we've seen in a while -- but it's also downright awesome. A robotic interface boasting WiFi and a built-in camera, it's designed to be worn and used in augmented reality, real life gaming situations, able to detect things -- like monsters -- that are invisible to the human eye. Once the robot detects the presence of said monster (or <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/zombies">zombie</a>), it fixes its gaze on the object, allowing the gamer to follow its line of sight and then.. you know, destroy it -- using an <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/iPhone/">iPhone</a> camera. It's also capable of locating and locking in on specific objects and faces, making it really useful in hunting down whatever imaginary creatures that have been following you lately. Check the coolness in the video after the break, but keep in mind -- we've been able to see the invisible monsters all along.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://www.pinktentacle.com/2009/09/miruko-wearable-eyeball-robot-interface/">Pink Tentacle</a>]</div><p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/09/27/miruko-wearable-gaming-eyeball-robot-turns-the-creep-factor-up-s/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Miruko wearable gaming eyeball robot turns the creep factor up significantly</em></a></p><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/gaming/" rel="tag">Gaming</a>, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/robots/" rel="tag">Robots</a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/09/27/miruko-wearable-gaming-eyeball-robot-turns-the-creep-factor-up-s/">Miruko wearable gaming eyeball robot turns the creep factor up significantly</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.engadget.com">Engadget</a> on Sun, 27 Sep 2009 11:28:00 EST. Like a vivid fever-dream Michael Bay might have after a night of pounding Sparks, this video of our nation's darkest hour and greatest triumph will have you screaming for a sequel. Confirming our belief that the out-of-control spy satellite which the Navy shot out of the sky in February really <em>did</em> contain a planet-destroying plague of zombie juice and / or Aliens, this roller coaster ride of a film retells the whole drama -- replete with swelling strings and in-your-face rage rock. Enjoy the epic video after the break, as well as a recap of our extensive coverage of the event, and rest easy knowing that once again great disaster has been averted... <em>or has it?<br /><br /></em>[Via <a href="http://blog.wired.com/defense/2008/05/video-inside-th.html">Wired</a>]<em><br /></em><p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/05/21/spy-satellite-shoot-down-the-movie/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Spy satellite shoot-down: The Movie</em></a></p><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/gadgets/" rel="tag">Misc. Sure, it's one thing to <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/02/20/alien-or-zombie-threat-averted-the-spy-satellite-has-been-destr/">hear</a> about that satellite getting blown to bits, but there's nothing like cold, hard video evidence to really cement our belief in the Navy's extreme skill at hitting fast moving objects in space with huge missiles. Yes -- the video is grainy and hard to make out, but if you can't tell how bad we blew that thing out of the sky... well maybe you're not looking hard enough. See it all go down (literally) after the break.<br /><br />[Thanks to everyone who sent this in]<p><a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/02/21/video-proof-of-the-renegade-satellites-destruction/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Video proof of the renegade satellite's destruction</em></a></p><p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/gadgets/" rel="tag">Misc. Just like the Navy <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/02/20/us-to-shoot-down-failed-satellite-at-10-30pm-et/">told us</a>, they shot that nasty satellite out of the sky with the kind of laser-like precision they've been claiming they're capable of for years. At right around 10:30 this evening, <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/02/16/cost-of-shooting-down-a-spy-satellite-60m-look-on-aliens-fac/">expensive missiles</a> were fired from the deck of the USS Lake Erie, traveling into space at an excess of 5,000mph, which then slammed into the Alien / zombie-juice / Russian controlled satellite (which itself was traveling at 17,000mph). Right now details are still sketchy on just how much damage was done to the object, but word on the street (aka, from the Navy) is that just about any hit to the satellite would put it out of our misery, due to the speed and trajectory at which it's traveling. The story is still developing, so if any of the zombie spore does manage to <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/01/27/out-of-control-satellite-weeks-away-from-slamming-into-earth/">reach Earth</a> and spark an undead holocaust, we'll be the first to let you know.<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/gadgets/" rel="tag">Misc. So apparently last night the Stockton street Apple store in SF was mobbed by... wait for it... flesh-eating hordes. We suppose the obvious joke would be that brain-eating zombies would go hungry paying a visit to an Apple store, but we know better than to arouse the ire of Mac fanboys -- and zombies -- so we're leaving this one alone.<br /><br />[Photo by <a href="http://flickr.com/photos/ari/515773263/">Steve Rhodes</a> - thanks Steve!]<br /><br /><a href="http://eatbrains.com/">Read</a> - SF Zombie mob manifesto<p>Filed under: <a href="http://www.engadget.com/category/gadgets/" rel="tag">Misc.
