#5 - Lukewarm reception? Sprint has been having a hard time keeping them in stock! They're flying off the shelves at least around here.
I've been using the 6700 for months now on Sprint and couldn't be happier. The rumor is that Sprint/Audiovox are giving special attention to working on updated firmware with a bunch of new features (and a couple small fixes/tweaks) because of the phone's early success.
No crippled Bluetooth on the Sprint version, $15/month unlimited 1x + EVDO, and no crippled WiFi or EVDO+voice so you never have to worry about missing a call (unless using 1x data, like every other phone).
As for #2 - All the specs are identical to Sprint's version. And while I might have liked the black color, I'm confused as to why part of it remains silver which totally ruins the look for me.
Personally, I think the HTC Wizard (GSM cousin of this phone) is the best looking of the bunch. But it has a slow OMAP processor and crappy GSM. Function over form, for me anyway.
Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
