They tend to release products with a one two punch. They have a video ipod being released in march or april, that goes along with the next i-tunes phone (confirmed by internal cingular communications).

At this point if it happens this year, it'll be 3rd or 4th quarter, just in time for christmas.

About the umts vs ev-do argument...
hsdpa is faster than ev-do. Cingular is upgrading to umts, with hsdpa following right behind on those same towers, so the umts arguement is irrelevant. It is expected to be nationwide by the end of the year, which would time perfectly with an apple mvno, especially for songs downloaded wirelessly.

And @ the "its blurry" comments, most phones do not have a macro setting, this pic is taken far too close NOT to use a macro setting.

I hope Apple does it, @*&$ the big 3 and their "screw-the-customer pricing models"
