Well, I wouldn't go far as calling it a waste but it will be over-priced for sure just cuz it has Prada logo on it.

Yes you get what you pay for, but price isn't always directly proportional to the quality. Sometimes, you are just paying for the name. And that's waste.
It's fine if you don't want it, some people that like this phone want it because of how sleek and minimal it is, and they are fine with paying a premium for good design just like people have with Apple.
They aren't necessarily just "into the name". The majority of phones out there have so many freaking buttons and lights on them that they just end up looking hideous.
