Reasons I like the idea: Go Apple. I'm soooooo not an Apple fanboy, but I knew that when I saw the iPhone, it would spur innovation in the handset interface industry. I truly believe that we'll either see phones become the catchall device the UMPC was to be, or we'll get a truly competent mini-phone/folio-type combination in the near future. The phone will do the heavy lifting, but an OQO-sized or similar device will act as a dumb terminal and will cover the need for a larger screen/input needs for multimedia and typing/SMS/data management.
Reasons I like this Phone: WM6 so I can port over my Axim WM5 programs Small...looks smaller than the iPhone USB connectivity instead of some goofy proprietary port
Reasons I don't like this Phone: There are better WM5 skins for touch-screen interface than what HTC came up with for its music player. You can't be half-assed in the knock-off space...stylus to get to your keyboard? I thought this was called the Touch. Though I don't doubt that I can hook up my BT keyboard to this guy and type to my heart's desire they should have hidden a keyboard slider in it. Gotta put the memory card slot in an accessible place. Graphics are okay, but Apple's always been the king of eye candy. It's tough to find programmers w/ an eye for sexy design...Apple's great at that. Why release this year's phone with last year's data package? EV-DO baby!

“An engineer explained to us that hundreds of ear impressions were gathered in the name of research, and while each one obviously boasted its own unique shape and size, one single characteristic remained uniform across the board: the entrance into the ear canal is not a perfect circle, it's an oval.”
