My contract expires soon, and my SYNC (Samsung A707) is starting to show signs of neglect and abuse. Since I started running I have noticed that it gets boring really quick without something to set a pace in my head.

I currently rock A ZVM, (which is half full, I pack light when I am away from the house), but almost messed myself when the announcement of the N81 8GB came to light.

The hard part of this decision is that Creative today announced a Flash upgrade and redesign of the Zen to die for, (not to mention the Zen V+ 16GB), leading me to this pair of questions. Do I continue to have two devices, a solid phone and a solid mp3 player? Or I switch to the N81 and take a chance on the battery dying when I need to make a call, but make up for it in the space saved in my pocket?

disciple83

Comments on Nokia's 8GB N95, 5310, 5610, and 5700 get shown, too

yeah, let me now when you have answer:) biggest problem is that n95me i am looking after, dont have sd card slot, and i am not fan of funny led based flash:/

So i need something like n95me+xenon flash(=n82? maybe, but i like sliders and huge n95me screen). Owned the SE p910i and p990i before that. I think everyone here probably knows all the problems p990 users experienced. Played with my friends' iPhones. Cool but impractical for a device i use for business and pleasure at least 20x a day. I only read reviews of the N95. built in GPS feature 5 mp camera almost did it for me, but no qwerty was a deal breaker.

I can honestly say that I'm totally pleased with my decision to go with the htc s710. I'm sure many people here will bash windows mobile 6, but (especially compared to all the troubles i had with the symbian os on my past p9xx phones) it really does do the job (the MS exchange sync works perfectly, great for corporate types looking for blackberry alternative). there are a couple minor quirks (which smart/pda phone os doesn't have quirks?) but i think it really is the best product in it's class out there. oh. and for $60, i picked up a bluetooth gps receiver for the car. Google Maps and MSN Live work perfectly with it. No need to drop $500 extra on that Garmin i was planning to get.

hope this helps the smart/pda phone shoppers out there.

peace.

rob

Comments on Nokia's 8GB N95, 5310, 5610, and 5700 get shown, too

I would personally recommend the N73 music edition to anyone looking for a new phone, It doesnt have the GPS but that can be added on (with a better chipset than the N95)..

You can add tomtom go mobile to it, so you wont need a conection to look at maps (like you would with google maps), the maps will be on the phone, You will be able to listen to your music, it has a good camera, You will be able to install msn live, gmail, or indeed google maps if you prefer, whatever you want on it.

Its also not the top model so is a bit cheaper, however it is new enough to look impressive, and it will look impressive enough for about another year and half i would think.

Saying that, I have never needed a qwerty keyboard on a mobile device.

I usually bounce between Nokia, Samsung, and sony ericsson..
