I'm tired of paying for the minimum 1kb connection fee for the 20 or so times a month I hit this button by accident. Press it and *pay*.

Also, the default location a joystick push will take you is to their shopping site. Ugh. Can I pick my OWN default, please? SE lets you reconfigure the default presses for most buttons, but strangely not the buttons that go direct to AT&T pay-extra functions.

And finally, playing a game on the w810i hurts your fingers if you have even an average-sized hand. The left and right motion buttons are right next to each other and getting two fingers on them at once is impossible.

Shawn-dude

Comments on Sony Ericsson's W580i Walkman lands on AT&T

Grr, the accidental button pushes drives me crazy. My w810i runs on SE firmware, not the garbage that Rogers ships. And clicking that button on my phone takes me to the menu not the Rogers pay through the nose internet site. Plus I can use any song I want for a ringtone and any prepaid SIM I want when travelling. I even use Windows Media Player 11 to manage the music on my phone.

Simon

simon

Comments on Sony Ericsson's W580i Walkman lands on AT&T

You can set the Cingular button to open the activity menu instead. A manager at their support center in Iowa also let slip that they would be the first US carrier to offer SE's 'next big cameraphone' which could only be the K850, as the refresh to the cybershot line won't be out until Q1 '08 and by then they will be part of AT&T.

CellOne has been pretty stagnant for the last few years with mediocre phones and no real network features other then the vanilla offerings, but it seems like ever since the sale was announced, they've been on their game with the latest phones and new services like customizable caller ringtones (the kind that play when you call someone's cell, so instead of the usual 'ring ring' you get R. Kelly or Moby) Weird business plan, but I guess if you gotta go out, might as well go out with a bang.

Cash

Comments on Sony Ericsson's W580i Walkman lands on AT&T

Looks like the grey version can't be far behind...

http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/cell-phone-details/?device=Sony+Ericsson+W580i+Walkman%C2%AE+-+Grey&q_sku=sku1020091

Galpha

Comments on Sony Ericsson's W580i Walkman lands on AT&T

I want I want I want.
I'm due for an upgrade in OCT. not sure if I can wait.
