Buying ANYTHING is dumb, because a cheaper (or free, if we are talking software) version will be out soon?<br><br>Moore's law (basically) claimed every 18 months the speed of computers would double. I think we need a new foundation, something to reflect the fact that not only will the hardware get better, but it was get exponentially cheaper, and the information, the 1s and 0s, will be free.<br><br>I bought an iPhone. It was 600 bucks, and i loved it. I wasn't pissed when it went to 400, because to me, it was worth 600. I didn't buy the unlock cause i'm fine with AT&T. Some companies need to stop locking down hardware with their own, expensive P's of S and open up to the open source community. I wasn't trying to make some sweeping comment to get people riled up, or even attempting to say something controversial at all. I was making an observation in regards to how 40 years ago the rule was 18 months, and now look at the innovation we see in months, even days. I WAS MAKING A POSITIVE STATEMENT, WITH A JOKE TACKED ON TO THE END. I bought the very device i was joking about, an iPhone, and specifically stated that i wasn't pissed about the price drop...<br><br>If anything, my being ok with said price drop puts me in a more positive group than most people commenting around here these days, far and away.<br><br>And your willingness to let a comment that had nothing to do with you personally get you riled up enough to say things like "go talk a walk in the park dude" shows exactly what the rest of us, here to discuss gadgets, something we enjoy, are tired of seeing.<br><br>I'm not sure i'm the one most in need of some park time. Make sure all files are in same dir, and there u go :P unlocked.
