It appears, from the review and product description (on the manufacturer's website) that this uses a L-ION battery, not AAA.
Personally, I'd love my compact solid-state player to have a rechargable, 10-hr battery versus the AAA Ni-MH batteries that last 4-hrs that I have right now.
The only thing that seems to be missing from this is an expansion card slot.
