I don't think something like this is very far off at all. I'm using a system called bio-feedback to help me with motivational and organizational skills, and it often comes in the form of a game. The point of the game is to set your mind in a certain state before you can get past any of the objectives, and it works very well in my experience. Some of the cheaper, home-owned bio-feedback systems (though these are often attached to the fingers and really just read things like pulse rates, skin temperature, and skin moisture) are only around $200 including the software, so maybe in a few years this will be a complete reality.
