The key is for SONY to have plenty of PSP-only, original first and 3rd party games.
Technology wise, the PSP has always been a superior system to the DS. The PSP Lite's hardware revision should help it in the near future but I'd have liked to see a price drop to $129.99

jeez man, in Poland psp slim is like 300$ !!! Europe is a real hell for tech geeks :(
