From the same blurry piece of paper that brought us such tantalizing tidbits as the possible features and release date of the Treo 700p, comes another, admittedly less exciting, EV-DO handset from LG that is purported to be available on the same day as the Treo. The LG LX550 is a "mid-tier clam device focusing on advanced EVDO technologies including an MP3 player and an FM transmitter" (thanks Sprint, we learned a whole lot of new and puzzling info in that blurb) that also sports Bluetooth with A2DP, a 1.3 megapixel camera, and the always-popular changeable faceplate. Like the 700p, this will supposedly be released on May 28th -- price also TBD -- and according to Sprint, is targeted towards "trendsetting male[s] and female[s] between the ages of 18-35 who want a technologically advanced clam phone..." Although we can't really see carrying around a non-smartphone, because we're young, hip, and love clams, we may be unable to resist this model's powerful marketing.
