great article. can you pls fill us in on how subscription content fits into these standards. i remember the UK had onDigital (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/140880.stm) which was terrestrial pay TV. this required some sort of decryption card in the set top box. is this part of the standard, i.e. will I be able to take my decryption card and use it in any "standard" receiver: set-top box, tv with integrated tuner, PCI tuner in my PC? same question again for subscription mobile content - will be available encrypted over RF?
