The 3D imaging concept in Minority Report didn't look good because it's designed to be looked at by just one person and look perfect and 3D to them - the plain of the image follows Tom Cruise's head movements, the camera is seeing the projection from a different angle.
Not that anyone cares, of course, but I'm really putting my effort into my procrastination this weekend so you get it anyway. :)
