Carriers confirm details on the HTC Universal/T-Mobile MDA IV

HTC/T-Mobile MDA IV

Looks like Vodaphone and Orange are a bit more loose-lipped than T-Mobile, as they've seen fit to blab a few more details about the drool-worthy HTC Universal Pocket PC Phone. To Vodafone it will be the VPA IV and Orange the SPV 3G, but this sucker by any name is looking pretty sweet: 128MB of RAM, 520MHz Intel XScale processor, WiFi, Bluetooth, and be 5.2 x 3.2 x 0.85 inches in size when closed. The VGA internal camera next to the screen will allow video conferencing capabilities, with the external 1.3 megapixel cam handling the usual imaging and video duties. They still haven't officially confirmed the operating system but we doubt it could be anything other than Windows Mobile 2005 (aka Magneto). The HTC Universal's support for UMTS high-speed wireless networking means that when we deprived souls here in the States finally get our mitts on it, Cingular will be the most likely carrier to deliver the goods.
