Slim Devices unveils new rev with Squeezebox2

Rejoice, for the next-generation is here (once again) thanks to the release of Squeezebox2, an update to the Slim Devices networked digital audio player. This time around we've got support for true 802.11g wireless, support for lossless audio formats, audiophile-quality digital audio converters, and a doubling in screen resolution to a whopping 320 x 32 glorious greyscale pixels. We've got some updates on the software side as well, with SlimServer 6 designed to take advantage of all that is new and good within the Squeezebox2. New SqueezeNetwork software will connect to internet radio or other streaming services without needing your computer as an intermediary. Squeezebox2 supports MP3, WAV, FLAC, WMA, AAC, and Ogg Vorbis formats, and starts at $249.
