Slyck.com interviews Jon Johansen

Jon Johansen

Slyck.com has sort of a fluffy interview with hacker hero/villain Jon Johansen (aka DVD Jon) where he talks about his philosphical objections to DRM (his personal bête noire), DeCSS, and of course, his recent dust up with Apple over PyMusique/SharpMusique, his new interface for the iTunes Music Store that let's you buy songs without any of the DRM. He doesn't shed a heck of a lot of light on the situation but he does that no one from Apple's legal department has hassled him over PyMusique—yet—and that he's committed to countering Apple's efforts to lock out PyMusique and SharpMusique users.
