Italian man arrested for taking cameraphone shot of ballot

During Italy's last elections, a man was arrested for taking a cameraphone picture of his ballot. It's not clear whether there's an actual law on the books there as there is in Thailand, but it is clear the Italian government (or at least the local government where this occurred) isn't taking the more open stance that, say, Hong Kong has taken in the past when it encouraged residents to take photographs of their ballots to keep a record as evidence of the party they voted for.
