Clueless crooks toss gear at cops

Here's today's lesson from stupid criminals school: if you're going to go to the trouble of stealing a whole bunch of home electronics gear, don't use the gadgets as projectiles in a futile effort to get the police off your back. That was the brilliant scheme hatched by a group of bandits in Australia, who tossed stereos and computers at police during an 84-mile car chase. Needless to say, the clueless cons were caught, and the two gadget-tossers are now facing charges of assault, in addition to burglary. And, of course, all of that sweet gear is now roadkill, instead of being available for purchase at a police surplus auction — which kinda makes us want to enact some vigilante justice right now.
