Toshiba's new Dynabook TX

Ryan Block

There ain’t a whole lot special going on with Toshiba’s freshly redesigned Dynabook TX (outside that 15.4-inch 1280 x 800 screen, anyway), but it’s the first laptop we’ve seen cruise through that made use of Synaptics’ Dual Mode Touchpad (the backlit one with touchable media controls). PC laptops right now may not be the safest investment with Yonah and Intel’s new Napa Centrino platform looming, but you don’t have a lot to worry about since the Dynabook TX will probably be Japan-only release for the time being anyhow.
