CES: Syntax-Brillian Olevia Signature 1080p line

CES announcements are flying at us left and right and it takes something out of the ordinary to get our attentions. Well, I got new for you. Syntax-Brillian is showing off a new addition to their Olevia LCDs: the Signature collection. Sure, anyone can slap the "Signature" label on a TV, raise the price and call them high-end; Syntax-Brillian are not anyone.

Check out the specs of their 42 and 47-inch LCDs. Video processing by Silicon Optix Realta with just as good audio processing thanks to D2Audio's Intelligent Digital Amplifier. They are, of course, 1080p and have a huge viewing angle of 178 degrees. Two ATSC/NTSC tuners for PIP matched with two HDMI jacks, three component, two S-Video, two composite, VGA, headphone jack, tos-link, and a subwoofer jack. *takes deep breath* Check this out though: they have included a USB port so an owner can download the latest firmware.

But it doesn't stop there. The speakers can be mounted on the side vertically, or horizontally across the bottom. But the real pimps remove the speakers and use a good audio system. If these TVs turn out to be as good as they seem, Syntax-Brillian are going to have some winners on their hands.
