Tony Hawk X360 vs. Tony Hawk PS3

Ed Stasick

The boys over at GamePro have gotten their greedy little mits on Tony Hawks latest outing, Project 8. While going hands-on with it for the Xbox 360, they were also able to get a peek at it running on the glorious Playstation 3. How did it stack-up?

"In comparison to the Xbox 360's Project 8, the PS3 version will look identical; no 1080p support said Neversoft. And on top of that, there will be no online component."

Hold on a second. No online? That can't be right. Upon some further digging, we discovered that IGN had already questioned the developers on the online component (or lack thereof):

"Neversoft is confident the PS3 version of the game will ship at launch in November, but it still hasn't received all of the software libraries and has no indication of how the online components will work on PS3, so it's not offering them."

Troubling, indeed. Could the PS3 online Frankenstein rumors be true?
