Plasmon and Co use HD DVD variation to transport content

Ever wonder how content is physically transported between the studios and the pre-mastering facility? In the past they have used tape or even RAID devices, but tapes are fragile and sometimes break and we all know how much RAID devices can cost. Transporting media with moving parts can be a challenge in it self, especially when it is valuable. It appears that a few companies have figured out a way to use a HD DVD variation they call UDO-DMD or Ultra Density Optical Digital Master Disk, but you knew that right? They hope this will provide the security and dependability that the studios demand when transporting their content.
