When Wiimotes attack (or how I learned to hate the wrist strap)

After about 24 hours of pure, unadulterated gaming bliss, one Wii launch winner found out, the hard way, that the wrist strap isn't the shining beacon of defense one might have initially thought. During a game of Wii Sports: Bowling, the controller slips and snaps the Wiimote's wrist strap, sending the now deadly plastic missile right into the 60" television, cracking the glass something fierce.

While one might argue any aspect of the catastrophe, the fact of the matter is that, in the wrong hands, the Wiimote can be dangerous. We advise you never let anyone touch yours. Ever.
