Microsoft thinks Vista is the best thing since sliced bread

Microsoft's Peter Moore doesn't like foreplay. When announcing the upcoming launch of Windows Vista and what it means to gaming, he gets right to the point: "Mark your calendars: January 30th 2007 will be the most significant day in gaming for the next several years. In just one week, we'll release to consumers the largest and most significant advance in gaming technology Microsoft has ever made: Windows Vista."

The release continues by promoting cross-pollination of Xbox Live on both the PC and 360, parental controls, and a new Games Explorer. Sounds like Vista will cause the gaming planets to perfectly align, end starvation, and usher in world peace, at least for the "next several years."
