Classic Dragon's Lair on fancy new Blu-ray!

Nick Doerr

Did you grow up in the 70's and played the original Dragon's Lair when it came to arcades in 1983? Those were the days... yeah... I wasn't born yet. Missed out on this one, but from all the praise it has garnered throughout time, it's nothing short of an interactive Disney film (it was animated by Disney's Don Bluth!). Controlling Dirk "the Daring" through a castle to rescue Princess Daphne was a big thing back then, but now we can experience the classic game (or some of us, relive) on Blu-ray, in full 1080p! Here's what's in store:

  • The game can be played via the PS3 or a standalone Blu-ray player.
  • 5.1 surround sound along with HD visuals and HD extra features. HD all around!
  • Full length visual commentary from the creators!
  • Interviews with the creators!

The thing's been completely restored, so if this was something you loved in your youth and are pumped at hearing this, awesome. If you've never heard of Dragon's Lair, never played it, or are curious, give this a rent and see if you like the interactive movie experience.

[Thanks, David!]
