New Halo novel announced: Contact Harvest

Bungie.net has announced the next book in the Halo series of novels. The next book in the series will be titled Contact Harvest and will detail the period of first contact between humans and Covenant. The book will be written by Bungie's own Joseph "voice of the grunt" Staten. As a head writer for both Halo and Halo 2, Staten is more than familiar with the material. We only know a few more things about the story:

• There won't be Spartans (too early in the timeline)

• There will be familiar Covenant characters (no Arbiter)

• The main human character is none other than Sergeant Avery "A.J." Johnson

• Are you listening? The main human character is Sergeant freaking Johnson!
