The DS Life: The many faces of Noah Tsang

This week's model, like all of us, has more to him than what can be seen in a single snapshot. He can be a young boy sitting idly on carpeted steps or a confident face on the street with mischief in his eyes, depending on the day. Join us past the post break, and see if you can recognize a bit of yourself in Noah's many faces.
Such concentration! Such intensity! This is Noah Tsang, brows furrowed, mouth absentmindedly open, and only three years old. Consumed, his eyes pull in streaming, inverted images from the handheld, his brain hurries to turn them right-side-up, and his hands work in coordination to guide his favorite video game characters -- Mario and Kirby -- to safety. It's no wonder why he's investing all of his attention into these two small screens.
This is another version of Noah, more laid-back, shirt untucked, top button unbuttoned, jeans slightly baggy, and parked against a gray wall, two feet away from the "No Parking" notice painted yellow on the street. His chubby fingers grip the Nintendo DS's sides, but Noah looks away to the left, smiling, casually sizing up whatever's approaching.
This is how Noah dresses when he patrols the rough-and-tumble streets, cleaning up the city to make sure it's safe for people like us to walk around. Street-corner thugs and other men of ill repute might not agree with his laws or his ways of carrying them out, but they certainly respect his authority. The half-pound system tucked under his arm could flip open and light up at any moment; all he needs is an excuse. Remember, kids, crime doesn't pay.
This is the unchecked delight on Noah's face as he plays the Nintendo Wii. It's infectious enough to turn card-carrying cynics like us into wild-eyed optimists. We couldn't care less whether or not he's secured the remote strap onto his wrist.
This is Noah and his seven-year-old big brother, Joshua, messing around with their dad's laptop. They play all their games together. If you look closely, you'll see that Noah's hockey-puck mouse isn't even plugged into the computer! We wonder if he notices? And what could they be looking at? Perhaps they've loaded up some rambling post on DSFanboy.com? That would explain why Noah keeps trying to click the back button! "Do not want!"
This is Noah trying to steal his aunt's attention away from a heated Mario Kart DS race. He waves a screwdriver to break her concentration. Is it a gift? An imagined airplane? Maybe he wants her help with putting together a desk set; the detailed instructions turned out to be a lot more complicated than he initially anticipated. You'll have to ask Noah.
