Bang & Olufsen's 26-inch BeoVision 8 LCD TV gets previewed

While Bang & Olufsen's BeoVision 7 likely caught quite a few eyes earlier this year, the firm is hoping to attract even more onlookers by previewing the impending BeoVision 8 on its website. Designed by David Lewis, this unique 26-inch LCD HDTV touts a black / silver motif, 1,366 x 768 resolution, 500 cd/m2 brightness, a 1,200:1 contrast ratio, six-millisecond response time, 88-degree viewing angles, and an admittedly intriguing built-in sound system that includes a pair of two-inch midrange / tweeter speakers and a single four-inch bass driver. Furthermore, the display was made to be mounted on a wall, in a corner, or in a free-standing position, and the automatic picture control "dynamically changes the TV's black and white balance to suit the light conditions in your home." Sadly, B&O isn't doling out details on pricing just yet, but those interested can expect this beauty to land in around "three to four months." Check out a few more shots after the jump.
