Valentine's Day events in the City

Let the bells ring out for Manticore and Sister Psyche: they're finally formalizing the relationship they started in the comics. Today -- Valentine's Day 2008 -- City of Heroes icons Manticore and Sister Psyche will be wed in a live wedding ceremony in the main Training Room on the Test Server. Manticore will be controlled by Sean "Manticore" Dornan-Fish, and his off-server wife Jennifer Dornan-Fish will allow Sister Psyche to mindride her for the event. With Matt "Positron" Miller officiating, and other iconic heroes attending, it's sure to be a ceremony to remember. The ceremony will begin at 3:00 p.m. Pacific Time and will repeat hourly for the next three hours. Please note, though, that the service is first-come, first-served, and each presentation will only be open to 100 participants. It's the luck of the draw, heroes, so you and your villainous counterparts will need to find the ushers in Mercy Island and Atlas Park in order to attend.

Also, today starts this year's Spring Fling event, running from 8:59 a.m. PST to 8:59 p.m. PST, and it begins with DJ Zero's Pocket D Jubilee. Because it's in Pocket D, heroes and villains alike can mingle, and even complete missions together. And who knows, some of those missions may involve the magic of the season; after all, Ganymede -- the God Eros' emissary -- is the one providing a reason to work together. And if you're so inclined, you can help or hinder the wedding plans instead: Sela Vermont of Atlas Park will send heroes to assist her in the coordination of the wedding, while Zev Scalamore of Mercy Island makes sure that the minions of Arachnos fulfill their own roles.

This $9.99 USD pack is available for sale on the PlayNC store site, and includes two new formal wedding costumes and four celebratory character emotes. Tuxedo jackets with tails are available for both male and female alts, and female alts also receive wedding dress options including gloves, boots, skirts and hair style choices, with additional costume elements for the chest and hip areas.
