US: Joel Auge, So Deep In Love - Discovery Download
Our Discovery Download puts the focus on a different genre each week, offering up a free track we think is worth your attention. Joel Auge is the former frontman for the group Hewit. On his own, Auge's mixture of worship music and emotional alt-rock rings makes a solid case for being one the highlights of 2008. The album mixes up folk and pop with piano pop and Auge's own transcendent vocals.
US: Babasónicos, Microdancing - Canción de la Semana
Each week, we find a track from an artist or a band who's on the cusp of success and bring it to you, for free, as our Canción de la Semana. The restless sonic adventurers of Argentina's Babasónicos have spent the bulk of their nearly two decade-long career crafting introspective, futuristic pop. Their sound is one that combines tuneful, electrified alt-pop a la U2 with the stylish flair of Roxy Music. "Microdancing" is an understated bit of glitter pop with a perfectly breezy vocal spin. It's like a lost gem from the new wave era.

Australia: MA, Light Summer Dress - Single of the Week

Since the release of MA's debut album "Across the City And Into Your Room" in late 2007, momentum has been building around this unique Sydney duo. Critically acclaimed upon its release, the album has received unanimous reviews for it's breezy experimental pop. "Light Summer Dress" is the mesmerising, playful first single from the album featuring the stunning vocals of NZ's Victoria White and the intriguing, lush sounds of Australia's Drew Crawford.
New Zealand: Autozamm, Disco - Single of the Week
Each week, we find a track from an artist or a band who's on the cusp of success and bring it to you, for free, as our Single of the Week. Autozamm are fast carving a niche as one of NZ's best live acts, having supporting Powderfinger, Siverchair, Shihad, Opshop and The Black Crowes. Their latest album - Drama Queen - features 10 riff dunking, drama infused melody-dripping tunes, including this one: Disco!

Nederland: Midnight Juggernauts, Road to Recovery - Single Van de Week
Ieder week kiezen wij bij iTunes een nummer van een artiest of band en bieden dit gratis aan als onze 'Single van de week'. Midnight Juggernauts uit Australië maken heldhaftige dansmuziek voor psychedelische strijders- disco-soundscapes aangevuurd door indie-rockgitaren. Stel je David Bowie eens voor als kapitein op een ruimteschip op weg naar de geboorteplaneet van Daft Punk terwijl de synth-expedities van Giorgio Moroder door het geluidssysteem klinken. Luister maar eens naar "Road to Recovery" dan begrijp je wat we bedoelen.

France: Kim, Turn Me On - Single de la semaine
Kim Stanislas Giani est né en 1977. Sous le pseudo de Kim, il n'a pas chômé en 31 ans avec pas moins de 17 albums à son actif. Oui, déjà 17, vous avez bien lu ! Kim compose des morceaux électro-pop avec quelques touches de rock des années 70, et une multitude d'autres inspirations selon le moment. Capable de jouer de nombreux instruments, il crée toutes ses pochettes ainsi que ses propres clips vidéo. C'est un touche-à-tout, un vrai monstre de créativité. Son nouvel album, Don Lee Doo, rassemble des chansons évoquant un endroit nommé Belly Bay. Notre Single de la semaine est « Turn Me On », un morceau de pop plutôt calme, un étonnant mélange de Mick Jagger, Barry Gibb et Todd Rundgren pendant la période disco. Chaque semaine, nous mettons en avant le morceau d'un artiste ou d'un groupe sur le point de percer, et nous vous l'offrons gratuitement en tant que Single de la semaine.
