Barrens Chat: On the bandwagon, and off the rocker

I would like to begin by pointing out that this comic was not actually thought of by me. Interpreted, drawn, and displayed by me, yes; but the real mind behind this comic is the same on that brought you the deep and insightful explanation on Engineering (which he also had me draw), Brian Karasek.

Brian has been a friend of mine, and my S.O., for well over five years now. We've stalked followed him through three different games, and ended up following him into World of Warcraft after the two of us were convinced we'd never be seeing him again. Luckily, we were wrong. Brian is a truly wonderful friend, and I am grateful to have him. Now that the obligatory brown-nosing is out of the way, I would like my birthday present now, please!

For those of you who don't know (likely 99.8% of you I'd assume) my birthday is tomorrow, June 6th. I expect lots of lovely supportive comments for this comic, as well as large, unsolicited donations of money from you all, thank you (Just kidding... no really).

For those of you who play alliance paladins, I hope you recognize the paladin trainer I've chosen to portray. In the event that the noobadin to the left actually resembles some poor soul out there in the World of Warcraft community, I assure you it is entirely coincidental, and I have no idea who they are. Much like the random Night Elf Hunter in my Children's Week comic (although, I did admit I stole the name of his pet snake from someone else's pet).

I'm actually quite proud of my comic strip this week for a couple reasons: One, my photoshop crashed over 23 times while drawing it (I stopped counting at 23, but it must have crashed at least a dozen after that as well). Two, I was randomly losing power due to construction on campus, as well as severe weather on the day I wanted to start working on this comic, so I had to delay it until Tuesday. Three, I'm currently under a tornado watch! So I'm happy that, not only did I get it done, it actually turned out fairly close to how I wanted it to look in the first place! I did warn you I'd be jumping on the Death Knight bandwagon.

Either way, if I don't reply to your comments in the next few days, I want to assure you that I do read them all (whether or not I respond), but I'm refusing to do anything other than relax and enjoy my birthday at exactly 12 a.m. Eastern tonight until 12 p.m. on Sunday (at the earliest).

Have a great weekend, and I'll have more brainwashing material comics for you next week!

Barrens Chat is a weekly installment of comic insanity from around Azeroth. Barrens Chat is not edible, and swallowing may cause delirium in small children and the elderly. Barrens Chat is not intended to be used as a flotation device, so please use caution around water. If you are feeling like licking your Draenei friend might be a good idea, I'd suggest against it. Instead, come back next week for another comic.
