E308: DS Fanboy hands-on with MillionHeir

MillionHeir is a very simple game. Sure, it has an overall story to it, but the meat and potatoes of the game has you staring at a large painting for several minutes, locating objects in the environment housed on a handy list. And, true to the Where's Waldo formula, finding these objects is not easy.

I seriously wish there was more to this game. Storywise, you're trying to hunt down the heir to a vast fortune. From a gameplay perspective, it seems you're finishing someone's scavenger hunt for them because they're far too busy doing more important things.

So you have these environments, but how do you navigate them? Just drag the stylus about and it will scan the large area you're looking through. When you think you've found something, simply tap it and move on. The game will mark it off the list and then you're free to progress to the next area. Where you'll repeat the process all over again.

The demographic this game will most likely appeal to is the young. There simply isn't enough here to satisfy gamers thirsting for something more from their gaming experience. With a total of 30 navigable scenes, and 12 heirs to check out, I just don't see there being any lasting value to this game.
