NintendoWare Weekly: Phoenix Wright, Sonic & Knuckles, Spotto!

As expected, today marks the release of Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Justice for All on WiIWare. Capcom's lawyer-'em-up is joined by a plethora of new titles, so if you have some extra pocket change or a packed piggy bank, you'll want to head past the break and see what's available for download this week.

WiiWare

  • Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Justice for All (Capcom, 1 player, 1,000 Wii Points): The second release in the Ace Attorney series features four new cases and introduces the "Psyche-Lock" feature, which is quite literally a mental padlock.

  • Art of Balance (Shin'en Multimedia, 1 - 2 players, 800 Wii Points): This physics-based puzzle game has over 100 levels to play through, drop-in co-op play, and a versus mode for the more competitive.

  • WarMen Tactics (Calaris, 1 player, 800 Wii Points): In the year 2013, the military and police have joined forces to become one all-powerful entity called the Department of Control. You play as resistance member Marco.

DSiWare

  • Spotto! (Nintendo, 1 player, 200 DSi Points): You play as Spotto the duck, who's on a mission to rescue his friends from some mean ghosts. Obviously.

  • Spaceball: Revolution (Virtual Toys, 1 player, 500 DSi Points): This is a kind of variation on Monkey See, Monkey Do, where players must recreate an image displayed on the top screen by using pieces found on the bottom screen. It is not based on Mel Brooks' hilarious space romp, Spaceballs.

  • Scrabble Classic (EA, 1 - 4 players, 800 DSi Points): This handheld adaptation of the popular board game allows you to go it alone or play with up to three other players.

  • Real Soccer 2010 (Gameloft, 1 - 4 players, 800 DSi Points): You coach a soccer team with one thing on its mind: victory.

  • Prehistorik Man (Interplay, 1 player, 800 DSi Points): Sam's a caveman whose village has been ransacked by dastardly dinos. You'll have to gather food and bash dinosaurs across 22 different stages.

Virtual Console

  • Sonic & Knuckles (Sega Genesis, 1 player, 800 Wii Points): The fourth game in the classic series, this picks up where Sonic 3 left off and lets players take up the role of Knuckles, the spiky echidna. And if you've downloaded any of the Sonic the Hedgehog games from the Virtual Console, the lock-on ability of the old cartridge is intact, which "allows you to play as Knuckles in other Sonic titles available for the Virtual Console."
