Cricket launches Samsung Messager Touch
Ah yes, if you're thinking this is Cricket's newest Samsung launch, you're right. The Samsung Messager Touch (or SCH-r631) is a lower-priced QWERTY slider with a 2.6-inch touchscreen display, a slide-out pad -- pictured oh so lovingly above -- a 2 megapixel camera, and availability in either black or white. The cost? 159 of your hard earned dollars. We've seen a few Messagers pop up in recent memory, but it's nice to see touchscreen added to the mix at a price that while not free, certainly shouldn't stop this from ending up on wishlists this fall. Cricket Launches Affordable Samsung Messager® Touch

Providing room for movement between price plans each month, the no-contract wireless company will be offering an affordable, all-inclusive $45 unlimited nationwide talk, text and picture/video message plan with this device, which also includes unlimited web browsing on Cricket's all 3G network and an even more value-friendly plan of $35 for simple unlimited talk and text capabilities.
The user-friendly Messager Touch comes equipped with a 2.6-inch QVGA touch-screen display, full QWERTY slide-out keypad, easy access to pre-loaded widgets, intuitive navigation through the Samsung Touchwiz Lite™ interface and MyHomeScreen customizing features allowing users the ability to place links of their favorite apps, web pages, or live web info; like horoscopes, news and weather, on any of their 3 homescreens. A full variety of multimedia options are also available on this light-weight device, including real web browsing at 3G speeds, a music player with optional microSD™ memory card support, a 2.0 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth™ and 100 MB of storage for image, video and music files, which will compliment the unlimited picture and video messaging options available with the Cricket all-inclusive $45 service plan.
