One Shots: Come on in, the water's fine

According to the news from GDC, Turbine's switch to free-to-play on Lord of the Rings Online has proved to be a monumental success. While Turbine's profits are swelling, players benefit too, as they now have an easier time finding groups since there are lots more people adventuring in Middle-earth than before. Many players are returning from long absences, such as today's One Shots contributor, Eellia, a rune keeper on the Elendilmir server. She writes in: "I've been away from Lord of the Rings Online for quite a while, and jumped back in when the F2P started. I saw Lake Evendim when it first came out, and it's still as pretty as ever. I thought my character Eellia needed a quick dip in the early morning rays."

We love to see screenshots from established contributors as well as first-timers! So if you've thought about sending an image in but haven't gotten around to it, go raid your screenshot folder and send something nifty our way at Please make sure that your image is attached, is at least 1024 pixels across, and features as little UI as possible. We'll post it out here for everyone's enjoyment and give you the credit.
