Seventh Mac OS X 10.6.7 beta seeded to developers

Wow. It seems like only two weeks ago that the sixth beta of Mac OS X 10.6.7 was seeded to developers. Wait - it WAS two weeks ago. Well, today Apple has released the seventh (and hopefully final) beta of the next version of Snow Leopard to developers.

According to Mac developers we've talked with and a report on AppleInsider, build 10J868 has no known issues, but Apple is requesting that they focus on Safari, the Mac App Store, AirPort, Bonjour, SMB, and graphics drivers.

Mac OS X 10.6.7 is widely expected to be the last available version of Snow Leopard, now that Apple has released an early beta of Mac OS X 10.7 Lion to developers. No major feature changes are expected with 10.6.7, unlike Mac OS X 10.6.6 which added the Mac App Store to the operating system.

The release of Mac OS X 10.6.7 is expected by many bloggers to come within the next week, although its availability might be slowed by the impending release of iOS 4.3 and the iPad 2.
