The Daily Quest: Impressions set in stone

I finally got around to making a jaunt into Old Ironforge the other day -- I'd been down there before, once upon a time in vanilla, but it was so many years ago that I had the vaguest of impressions of what might have been there. As of patch 4.1, there for all to see is a scene straight out of The Shattering, the novel by Christie Golden that explains exactly why Magni is standing there frozen in place. Now I'm trying to remember if anything in the novels has been so directly copied over to the in-game world -- there's the whole Caverns of Time: Durnholde Keep instance, but that's not really a direct copy. I can't think of anything, off hand.

Anyway, today we've got some various impressions of WoW, from patch 4.1 all the way to King Magni.

• Spellbound has a flurry of first impressions for 4.1, from destro warlocks all the way to the two new dungeons.

• Tank Out of Water ponders Fandral and the development of the various races of Warcraft.

• Troll Racials are Overpowered suggests the possibility of a solo-friendly MMO.

• Stouthammer Lite has a really interesting in-character look through the eyes of a dwarf seeing King Magni for the first time and briefly mentions the history behind Old Ironforge.
