Death Rally updated with new track and more
If you're starting to get tired of seeing the same old rallies and the same old deaths in Remedy's iOS racer Death Rally, a new update freshens up the game with a new track, the ice-covered "Eureka." The method through which you get new tracks is new, as well: you now collect track parts.
The latest update also brings in-app purchases to the Rally, in the form of a "Shadow Man" who can "help you progress faster." Sure, in-app purchases that make the game easier might be considered a slippery slope, but the Eureka track is literally a slippery slope. April showers may bring May flowers but in the latest update of Remedy's Death Rally, they also bring in a ton of snow and ice. Translation? Destructive, slippery fun. The full list of what's new in this update can be found below:
New Features:
- EUREKA: A new track: Watch out, its Frozen!..and with a new unique camera!
- NEW TRACK UNLOCKING MECHANISM: Now collect track parts to unlock new levels
- BACKUP SYSTEM: Restore game progress based on your Game Center information
- IN-APP PURCHASES: "Shadow Man" can help you progress faster!
Improvements:
- More compatible with older devices thanks to reduced memory consumption
- Changed starting grid position randomization
- Menus optimized for iPhone 4 and iPad 1
- Main menu can now be scrolled from the very bottom of the screen
- Added sound effects for the subway in Velodrama
- New sound for the Striker weapon
Bug fixes:
- Fixed challenge randomization bug that could cause crashes
- Fixed a controls bug where steering overrides braking when using left-handed arrow controls
