We've settled into a pretty regular summertime TV rotation by now, how about you? Of course, there's still a few late entrants in this season of TV watching like the one pictured above. Of course, we wouldn't leave you without any other recommendations for the week so here's our notables for now:
The eighth and final season of this HBO season gets going on Sunday, and after all the action and eye candy Vince & crew have brought us over the years of course we'll be tuning in once again. Last season closed out with a rather unfortunate cocaine-related mishap, while this one starts off with Vince out of rehab and ready to get back to work. This show may not match other premium cable dramas when it comes to depth, but for comedic and entertainment value it simply can't be beat. For bonus Entourage, check out one of the stars of the show, Kevin Connolly, on Hollywood Hi-Tech Wednesday night.
(Sunday, HBO, 10:30 p.m.)
Melissa & Joey
Just because the mid-90s are over doesn't mean we have to give up on its TV. While TGIF may be dead and gone, Melissa Joan-Hart (Sabrina the Teenaged Witch) and Joey Lawrence (Blossom) have teamed up on a very familiar feeling ABC Family series. The plot is pretty loose (local politician hires out of work stock broker to be her nanny) and Melissa & Joey is probably more nostalgic than it is good, but for a half hour on Wednesday night we'll take it.
(Wednesday, ABC Family, 8 p.m.)
WNBA All-Star Game
A slew of lockouts has left us entirely thirsty for any sports action at all. Our throwaway bet on the Women's World Cup last week worked out pretty well, with the NBA and NFL still at the negotiating table and not offseason training camps, are we desperate enough to tune in to the WNBA All-Star Game Saturday afternoon? We'll find out, won't we.
(Saturday ABC, 3:30 p.m.)
