iOS 5 brings iCloud and AirPlay to iOS gaming October 12

Apple announced today at its keynote that iOS 5 will launch October 12. For phone-type stuff, it means accessing the camera from the lock screen, and a host of other improvements. But you can read about that anywhere -- what does it mean for your burgeoning iOS game collection?

iOS 5 offers iCloud support, allowing games designed for it to use cloud saving. It also offers AirPlay, a feature first seen in Real Racing 2 by Firemint. It allows iOS devices to stream to TVs, sort of like a Wii U without the console bit. There are still more iOS 5 stories developing -- if we can get the liveblog to load -- so we'll tell you more when we know more.
