Goodbye SWG -- thanks for everything

MV Guide is a weekly rundown of the MMO gaming events planned on Massively TV.


Every week, the Massively staff logs in to play various MMOs live and in person, and we'd love for you to drop by the channel and visit. We have a combination of regular weekly games and new surprises, so you'll find a variety of titles to take a look at. During our streamed events, you can participate in the live chat, ask questions to learn about the game, and simply spend some time with Massively staff and readers. (Of course, streaming is subject to the whims of outside forces like server-side gremlins once in a while.)

You'll notice a hefty lineup, some new faces, and some special events in this week's MV Guide. Joining us will be some brand-new members of the MV TV livestream team, so make sure you stop in while they're live and give them a welcome!

Monday, 1:00 p.m. EST: Karen and Jeremy -- EverQuest II
Last Friday, Karen and Jeremy took a look at Beastlords. This week, they'll look at the new dungeon maker tool, Frostfell, and a few surprises!

Monday, 5:00 p.m. EST: Beau -- Pocket Legends and Star Legends
Join Beau as he checks out the Spacetime Studios lineup, now in browser form. He'll go through the process of making a brand new character, try his hand at crafting and questing and might even trot out some of his old-timers to compare experiences. How does the browser-based game compare to the mobile version? Are the controls any different or better? Check it out as Beau tries to clear up any confusion.

Monday, 8:00 p.m. EST: Mike -- EVE Online
Help Mike create a brand new EVE pilot, then guide his actions as he sets out into the black with EVE's first crowd-sourced character.

Monday, 9:00 p.m. EST: Dylan -- Age of Empires Online
Nations are at war! Egyptians, Persians and Greeks battle it out for resources and territory! Join Dylan as he takes an in-depth look at RTS-meets-MMO Age of Empires Online. Join in the discussion of capital cities, questing and a look at the F2P content. Tyranny and trolling await, so grab your villagers and harvest some knowledge!

Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. EST: Larry -- Star Wars: The Old Republic
Early access for Star Wars: The Old Republic has been moved forward a couple of days, to the delight of fans. Our very own SWTOR columnist and man with the awesome hair, Larry Everett, will introduce you to this game, Smuggler-style. Join him in the chatroom to ask questions and talk about holographic Twi'leks.

Tuesday, 5:00 p.m. EST: Beau -- Poptropica
Who doesn't love free-to-play browser games, especially one for kids? Join Beau as he recreates another new character in this interesting side-scroller. If wacky graphics, interesting puzzles and accessible gaming are your thing, join in on this stream. You never know, you might just find your new favorite!

Tuesday, 8:00 p.m. EST: Jeremy -- Lineage II
Jeremy is on board for Choose My Adventure, and he'll be spending his time checking out Lineage II's new free-to-play conversion and Goddess of Destruction update. Join him in game and in the livstream chatroom to be a backseat driver.

Tuesday, 10:00 p.m. EST: Richie -- Diablo III
Out of the depths of hell comes a beta invite for Diablo III. Will Richie be brave enough to overcome the feverishly paced clicking required to slay the throngs of demons and gather all of the epic loot? Interact with his adventure live... if you dare!

Wednesday, 5:00 p.m. EST: Beau -- Whirled
Watch Beau as he checks out Whirled, a social game brought to us by Three Rings, the studio responsible for Puzzle Pirates and Spiral Knights!

Wednesday, 7:00 p.m. EST: Mike -- EVE Online
The space adventure of Mike continues, this time with Agent missions and skill training. You decide what our brave pilot becomes: miner, thief, mercenary or explorer.

Wednesday, 8:00 p.m. EST: Adventure Mike (James) -- Final Fantasy XIV
Join Adventure Mike on his inaugural adventure through the lands of Eorzea as he examines the ins and outs of beginning your journey in Final Fantasy XIV. If you have been curious about the game but have yet to check it out, you will want to tune in!

Thursday, 2:00 a.m. EST: Psykopig (Dave) -- DC Universe Online
Psykopig returns to DCUO with a bang! He'll be checking out the new Lightning additions to the game and settling in with the new F2P model. You read that time correctly: Dave's Australian and he'll be livestreaming during Aussie Prime Time. Enjoy!

Thursday, 5:00 p.m. EST: Beau -- Gaia Online
Beau decided it was time to check out Gaia Online again, being that it has been so long since his last visit. What will he find besides bright, noisy monsters? You'll see!

Thursday, 9:00 p.m. EST: Karen and Jeremy -- Clone Wars Adventures
Join Jeremy and Karen as they play Star Wars! No, not that one; the other one. They'll duel, race speeders, and check out Life Day!

Thursday, 11:00 p.m. EST: Karen -- Star Wars Galaxies
Star Wars Galaxies is shutting down, and the Massively team will be there for the very end. Join us as Karen and other members of the Massively team share their memories and salute the final moments of this groundbreaking game.

Friday, 5:00 p.m. EST: Beau -- Herotopia
What's the in the sky? A skinny blond man? Yep, it's only Beau as he explores Herotopia, a browser-based superhero game that is perfect for kids!

Friday, 7:30 p.m. EST: Patrick -- Champions Online
Patrick takes a shot at the new adventure pack, Whiteout! A new mystery with an unknown alien threat unfolds. Will our hero be able to handle these invaders, or is is resistance actually futile?
