WRUP: Tyler's Valentine's Day wish

Every week, just at the start of the weekend, we catch up with the WoW Insider staff and ask them, "What are you playing this week?" -- otherwise known as: WRUP. Join us to see what we're up to in and out of game, and catch us in the comments to let us know what you're playing, too!

One of my most popular WRUP columns ever was Mat's Birthday Wish, the tale of one WoW Insider writer's most magical birthday ever. And by most popular, I mean that it got about one-quarter the number of page views that a typical version of The Queue gets. (Such is the life of the lowly WRUP writer!)

Well, this past Tuesday was Valentine's Day. I grabbed my X-acto knife once more to create an expression of "love" for my boyfriend. (Love being in quotation marks here, since we are talking about boomkin blogger Tyler Caraway here.) Above, you can see the front of the card. We've hidden the inside of the card after the break to try and trick you into giving us more pageviews.

Oh, and we've also got the usual "What are you playing?" stuff after the break, too, including our answers to this week's bonus question: Who's your in-game valentine?

When the night is darkest,
and you're surrounded by shadows

remember that I play a shadow priest
and that you're not actually alone.

The shadows are me,
embracing you,

waiting to kill you
and camp your corpse.

Happy Valentine's Day.

Alex Ziebart (@AlexZiebart) Mass Effect 3 multiplayer. Constantly. All weekend long. It is freaking amazing.

My in-game valentine is Joanna Blueheart.

Chase Hasbrouck (@alarondruid) Still working on Super Mario Galaxy 2 with my son and soloing Naxxramas to rebuild a T7 set for transmog.

Bonus: Celestine of the Harvest. I need a Buy Five Respecs, Get One Free card.

Daniel Whitcomb (@DanielWhitcomb) I've gotten pretty much hooked on multiplayer in the Mass Effect 3 demo, so I will probably continue to bro it up with some friends in there, if they are willing. As a result of said demo, I have neglected my Raid Finder runs, so I may try to get those in this weekend as well.

As for my in-game valentine, it's Grand Admiral Jes-Tereth. That woman is just the perfect blend of beautiful and badass. I am in awe of her.

Elizabeth Wachowski (@leeatwaterlives) Kingdoms of Amalur, Skyrim, and Mass Effect 3 demo. I am also strongly considering bringing the Xbox to work on one of these nights.

Fox Van Allen (@foxvanallen) (gplus.to/foxvanallen) I'm going to be spending the weekend planning Fox Van Allen Tour 2012, making stops in Denver, Los Angeles, New York, and Philadelphia, all in the month of March. Get your T-shirts now!

My in-game valentine is this stupid boss thing in Shadow Labryinth. I beat him up all the time.

Joe Perez (@lodurjz) Just celebrated my big 3-0; will be hitting up the Sabres hockey game this weekend in the executive suite! Will be playing the WoW transmog game and dumping many hours into Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning. Also, more SWTOR, because I love the BH story so much.

Josh Myers (@Elamqt) I am working all weekend. But in the rare moments when I am not, I might be able to get my priest to 85, as she's currently just shy of 84. I have the healing bug now that my shaman is main spec resto, but I don't like playing my druid or paladin, so I'm hoping a disc main spec/holy off spec will give me a healer for alt runs that I actually enjoy playing.

Kelly Aarons (@Cadistra) Really want to get back into the groove of things and level some alts, most likely my cow pally. Maybe I can get some Trine 2 in there as well.

Cadistra's valentine? Hamuul Runetotem. It's more of a star crush, like having a crush on Captain Picard. You know how it is.

Lisa Poisso (@LisaPoisso) Running PUGs and chatting with my new guild -- great peeps who make being a leveling character (not rushing through the levels, but just hangin' out and toolin' around) a whole lotta fun. My in-game valentine is Auctioneer Yarly. I'll run the circle just to get to that dude. We've got a thing going on.

Mathew McCurley (@gomatgo) My weekend is going to involve lots of housecleaning and WoW playing. I've got some new transmog sets that I want to put together. My in-game Valentine is probably Matthew Rossi. We're best retro raiding buddies.

Matt Low (@Matticus) Mass Effect 3! The closer we get to release date, the harder the wait becomes! The demo is leaving me wanting that game more and more. In-game valentine? Jaina. She's my #1 mage.

Michael Gray (@writegray) I think I'll be doing some more Star Wars PvP. It's a nice change of pace, even if I find PvP to be pretty laggy there.

My in-game valentine ... Faerlina. The voice, man, the voice.

Olivia Grace (@oliviadgrace) I am running out of new ways to say still WoW ... all the WoW. All I play is WoW. I keep pretending that there's occasional LA Noire involved, but I've played it once for a few hours, and that's it. So, yeah, WoW. Gearing my priest. And I think if it is an NPC, then it's Sylvanas. I have a major girl crush on her. If it's not an NPC, then there's a certain warlock ...

Robin Torres (@cosmiclaurel) My druid and my operative will be played while not attending birthday parties. Well, there's just the one, but it's at Chuck E. Cheese, which is worth 1,000 parties. /whine My in-game valentine? I've already publicly declared my love for Makavu.

The weekend is the perfect time to kick back, relax and enjoy some game time. Are you an achievement junkie? Can't get enough raiding? Rolling a new alt? Considering taking the leap into roleplaying? Whatever your favorite way to play World of Warcraft, let us know in the comments what you're playing this weekend!
