Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Adam Holisky (@adamholisky) will be your host today.
I'm getting pretty excited to see what MoP is going to bring for us. I think it's really just a short while until we get into beta territory, and after that, the release is soon to follow.
I'm already getting pretty bored of Dragon Soul -- I mean, we've got many of the hard modes to do still, but that's only so interesting. It's time for some Mists.
Do you think the Toxic Wastling is going to go the same route as the Sinister Squashling? ie, go Bind on use?
Yes, I expect those to go bind on use. There could be an argument made that because they're a rare drop from a BoP item (which everyone has access to), they should stay BoP, but Blizzard has said that nearly all companion pets will go bind on use in Mists, and I'd expect this one to be the same.
Super-special pets such as achievement rewards and one-time event rewards might be good candidates for staying BoP. Think about how insanely high some of those items would go for on the AH otherwise ...
How big is the population, roughly, of a battlegroup? I'm curious as to how big the pool is for LFR and random dungeons.
While we don't know the size in terms of people, we know that the battlegroup is not used in Dungeon Finder, Raid Finder, and Battleground matchups. Dungeon Finder and PvP Battlegrounds used to pull from the battlegroup only, but that behavior was changed a while ago.
Some people say it'll pull from the entire North American (or European) community, while others say pairings are just pulled from the data center in which the servers are housed. We don't really know those details. Still, in years of running the Dungeon Finder now, I can say I've never ran into the same person twice, so the pool is players is huge.
So any idea what the Pandaren dances might be? Perhaps something eastern inspired, such as a kabuki performance or a graceful chinese ballet. I was actually hoping they would eschew dancing in favor of a kata or tai chi movements. Just a thought. What do you guys think?
I agree. It'll probably (should) be heavily influenced by eastern techniques. There are some other examples I've thought up that I think could be used:
That second video is obviously Bruce Lee, but that other guy -- I'm not sure if it's a young Chuck Norris or a young Matt Rossi.
Where exactly is the Well of Eternity? Can i go and see it (outside the 5-man)? Is it just crumbled remains that's left behind?
My understanding is that the Well of Eternity, as Shinae pointed out, is at the center of the sundering, so that's where the Maelstrom is right now -- and so no, you can't see it in modern-day Azeroth, because it's been destroyed.
