MV Guide: April 30 - May 6, 2012

MV Guide is a weekly rundown of the MMO gaming events planned on Massively TV.

Every week, the Massively staff logs in to play various MMOs live and in person, and we'd love for you to drop by the channel and visit. We have a combination of regular weekly games and new surprises, so you'll find a variety of titles to take a look at. During our streamed events, you can participate in the live chat, ask questions to learn about the game, and simply spend some time with Massively staff and readers. (Of course, streaming is subject to the whims of outside forces like server-side gremlins once in a while.)

Monday

5:00 p.m. EDT: Beau -- Istaria
Since Beau will be skipping Rise and Shiny this week to write a recap for the column's second anniversary, he's decided to stream a game that has always been one of his favorites. There have been recent developments in the world of Istaria, so let's see what has happened!

8:00 p.m. EDT: Mike -- EVE Online
Mike, as Spaceguy Rotsuda, charged into the black to raise his security ratings and make sweet, sweet ISK. Rats will explode, missiles will fire, and ships may be lost, but all's fair in EVE Online. Tune in for some epic space action.

Tuesday

9:00 p.m. EDT: MJ -- EverQuest II
Shinies in the sky! Dragons! Sorry, Kung-fu Kitty (aka Emyja), but this week you are supplanted for a trip into Withered Lands. This time the Fury gets to play. Join MJ as she pokes about the new content in Skyshrine and tries one of the one- to two-man instances.

Wednesday

5:00 p.m. EDT: Beau -- Second Life
It's Second Life Wednesday again! What will Beau be doing this time? How about he takes you through the process to build an object, say a sword and shield, and explains how to attach and use that object? Everything in the world of the Lindens is made up of prims, so Beau will attempt to show you how to use those prims to make some cool clothing and items!

6:00 p.m. EDT: MJ -- TERA
Want to see what the fuss is about? Join MJ as she logs into TERA and checks out the newly launched game. Start with a quick look a character creation then dive into the world of Arborea!

7:00 p.m. EDT: Mike -- RIFT
Mike is back in RIFT again, pushing his young mage to her limits as she works to drive back invading monsters and avoid being accidentally one-shotted. See what lies in RIFT Lite and beyond!

8:00 p.m. EDT: MJ -- Aion
It's back to Asmodae for MJ; she really missed her silky black wings! This week, adventures will be centered around a lower-level group dungeon such as Nochanta Training Camp or Fire Temple. While waiting on a group to form, she'll be continuing on with quests in lands with open rifts. Maybe, just maybe, she will step through one...

9:00 p.m. EDT: Taryn -- APB: Reloaded
Last stream, Taryn gave you the 4-1-1 on the New Breed Part 1 1.7.0 patch notes. Join her and her crim' in crime, LooCLoo, this week as they shamelessly take the new Fight Club challenges by storm. Will they emerge victorious? Lock and load!

Thursday

5:00 p.m. EDT: MJ -- Lord of the Rings Online
Let's strike up the band! A lover of all things music (and Tolkien), MJ delves into this unique feature of LotRO. Besides showing off the basics, she'll be showcasing any bands she can find as well as spearheading a Massively performance. Join her and make beautiful music together!

9:00 p.m. EDT: Jeremy -- Vanguard
There are a number of big-ticket items to reward yourself with in Vanguard. Some will take an enormous amount of time and patience and may be suited for interspersed group play, while others are practically handed to you. Join Jeremy as he takes a look at mounts, guild halls, housing and other goodies that you might not even realize you can build credit toward.

10:00 p.m. EDT: Dylan "GGraves" -- Destroy All Evil! (Diablo II)
Join Dylan as he celebrates the upcoming release of Diablo III. This series will bring light into darkness as GGraves cuts through hordes of demons and undead. Hellfire, massive weapons and righteous redemption await. Come join us in the chat room as we Destroy All Evil with other Massively viewers. The featured game will be Diablo II, so stay a while and listen.

Friday

5:00 p.m. EDT: Beau -- Illyriad
It's the weekend, so what better time to show off how far Beau's cities have come in Illyriad, a browser-based MMORTS that features one seamless world, FFA PvP with real impact, and a great system for traders. Keep in mind he won't let you in on all of his secrets, though.

8:00 p.m. EDT: MJ -- TERA
Continue launch week shenanigans with MJ as she wanders throughout Arborea and experiences all her little newb heart can! What's in store? Watch and see!

9:00 p.m. EDT: MJ -- City of Heroes
A paragon of newbness, MJ has no idea what she is doing as she begins the adventure that you chose. So come by and see how she does during her first days as a caped crusader and help direct -- or better yet join in -- her adventures!

Saturday

9:00 p.m. EDT: Jeremy -- World of Warcraft
Jeremy draws ever closer to the WoW trial edition's level cap of 20, but there's plenty of adventure left to be had. Join Necronomnom as he continues to explore the land of the undead.

Sunday
