The Queue: I am the pumpkin king

The Queue

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.

Jogu must be in the Hallow's End spirit. He's been predicting Mogu Pumpkins all weekend long. I suppose we need to stimulate the Jack o' Lantern economy this time of year.

@AdamThiede asked:

Has their been any hints of there being a troll Dungeon/Raid in this expansion?

There hasn't been any direct statement about it, but I wouldn't be shocked if we had one at some point in this expansion. We're seeing the last stand of the Zandalari, and if their alliance with the mogu doesn't pan out, they may try something even more desperate. Or they may go into hiding to make a comeback in a later expansion.

AlecCharon asked:

I don't know if this has been asked yet, and I don't want to get technical... It doesn't appear that there are any female hozen, jinyu, grummle, or saurok. I know that the saurok were created as a militant race by the mogu, and the grummles (oh how I adore them) were created as scouts. The mogu didn't expect them to rise against them, so they didn't bother with "breeding"...but what about the hozen and jinyu? Is this the same thing as the taunka, yaungol and the tuskarr?

The beast-like NPC races almost never get female models. I suppose the justification is that if they're animalistic, they don't necessarily need them. When you're talking about races like the hozen and the saurok, would there really be gender differences? If there were any at all, they would be extremely minor and barely worth noting. Maybe even the jinyu, too -- they're fish.

There are races that probably should have been given female models but haven't, though. For example, ogres and the Broken from Outland. All of these missing models are art concerns, not lore concerns.

The vrykul had women and they were pretty bad ass, so I'd like to see more of that.

recneps1337 asked:

who are the people on the most zoomed out world map and what isthat think poking out of the clouds to the left of azeroth?

That's a dreadlord of the Burning Legion on the left, a Titan on the right, and the thing in the clouds is a zeppelin.

@Grizz_Face asked:

Why has the scarlet crusade suddenly become russian?

I have no idea where those accents came from. One of them has a Russian accent, one of them has an odd French accent ... it's really bizarre all around. I don't think those accents actually exist anywhere in Azeroth. Maybe it's some subtle hint that those guys aren't human? Who knows.

@ikerizo asked:

Do fishing lures (shiny bauble, brught baubles, etc) work in MoP? I couldn't use them even though I had a required skill.

They do work, or at least they work for me. They need to be applied to an equipped fishing pole, however, so they won't work if you aren't using an actual fishing pole item. If you're using the fishing spell without a pole equipped, you can't use lures.
